Starbucks Shares Love for Coffee with Locals

We are in a time to face the challenge. Just like any other restaurants and cafes, Starbucks Coffee stores in major Japanese cities are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but its Koriyama Station store in Fukushima created a heartwarming handwritten poster to help the locals enjoy coffee at home.

The poster titled “Basic 4 Rules for A Great Cup of Coffee” is posted on the store’s front door. It explains how to brew perfect coffee at home with illustration:

We recommend using 10g of ground coffee for 180ml of water.
Coarsely ground coffee is better suited for a longer brewing method.
Ideal temperature for water is between 90℃ and 96℃.
Freshly ground coffee is the key for the superior taste.

During the long stay-at-home period, a cup of coffee became essential to many of us. Follow these rules and treat yourself with an excellent cup of coffee!
